New Kids On the Block / Arden Contest follow up
MPTrax wants to congratulate the winner of our New Kids on the Block / Arden contest, Amy Vinh!
Amy won tickets to see New Kids on the Block last week at the Verizon Center in DC, two passes to the sound check party, and two meet-and-greet passes (in addition to some other great NKOTB and Arden prizes), bringing her face to face, up close and personal with her favorite band.
We were lucky enough to have Amy recount her story for us, and would like to share it with you:
"I just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for selecting me as the winner for your New Kids on the Block Contest. I've been such a huge fan of the New Kids since 1988; they were my first concert and I remember growing up spending hours at the grocery store aisles reading all the NKOTB magazines that I couldn't afford to buy, just to get a glimpse of them. My one childhood dream, that I never had the opportunity to fulfill, was to meet them someday, just to be able to stand next to them, take a picture, and tell them about how amazing I think they are. They were the only band that I was completely infatuated with my entire life (and I'm now in my 30s).
Little did I know that 
20 years later, you and your staff would
have given me the joy of making all my childhood dreams come true. The
experience of attending sound check and the concert was unlike anything
I expected or anticipated. I got to meet them and enjoyed a pleasant
shout out from Donnie during the "Tonight" song performance; something
that I never could have imagined would ever happen to me. They were
all so gracious and kind to me and their fans and I will cherish this
memory forever. This experience has changed my life and I truly mean
that.
